A Unique Vision of Healing

Our nature as humans is to thrive, but a genuinely supportive environment is needed.

By learning and practicing the art of "Effective Listening," we create an environment of support and empower each other towards self-actualization and co-creating a better world.

Our mission is to build a global community rooted in connection, empathy, and mutual growth.

We envision a future where this transformative practice positively impacts relationships, communities, and individuals, bridging gaps and creating profound healing and understanding.

In a world often dominated by chatter and activity, deep listening and genuine empathy are overlooked treasures.

Through participation in our groups, members will cultivate Effective Listening skills that will transform their experience of themselves and those around them.

Together, we strive to elevate the human experience, empowering individuals to unlock their full potential and create lasting, positive change in their lives and the world at large.

About the Founder

Hi! My name is Ilya, and I hold a psychotherapy license in California, Oregon, Colorado and Washington, DC. Over the last 18 years I've counseled thousands of people and helped them connect with their authenticity and power. I've trained in countless healing and therapeutic modalities, and have taken part in tens thousands of hours of experiential workshops.  Effective Listening is the culmination of all of my experience and training.

I have a deep longing and commitment to live in a world that works for everyone. An image that guides me is seeing a newborn, no matter where they are born, and knowing they will be surrounded by loving thoughtful well-resourced people who are devoted to meeting all of their needs. To me, Effective Listening is a step in that direction - to help people support one another, so that they can contribute to such a world.

In my work as a psychotherapist, I am often confronted with the fact that humans need more than a therapy session once a week to thrive. We need a network of supportive skillful humans to help us along our healing journey.

The Effective Listening method is not therapy and is not meant to replace therapy. Effective Listening unleashes the awesome power and natural healing capacity that each of us has inside of us. It gives us a living network of people and a community of practice with whom to share and develop our dormant ability to give and receive love and build the collective resources to create a world that works for everyone.
